I am looking for reviews on Marisol's Ballet Outfit. I want to place my AG order tonight, and am possibly interested in buying that outfit. Is it worth it? What do you think of it? And also, if I use the free shipping code, will it still apply to the ballet outfit, since it is on backorder until November 11th? Thanks in advance!

Are talking about the pink practice outfit or the purple performance outfit?

The pink one is the Ballet Outfit, and the purple one is the Spotlight outfit, I think. So, I am talking about the pink one .

I love this outfit.
It comes with a leotard that you pull on like you would a real one, no velcro. (( I wish they had done the same to the tap outfit. )) It does go lower in the back, showing the strings, but I always tie my strings in a bow and tuck them under her hair.
The tights are footless. This is actually my only complaint. Yes, you can buy real ones like that, but my dance teacher would ahve killed me if I had done that for ballet class.
The skirt is great! Though I have one of hte "chubby" Marisols, so it's a slightly tight fit. It fits, just snug.
My favorite part is the leg warmers!!! I so want to use them more for a 1980's outfit then dance. They are perfect for the flash dance effect! hehehe!
I also like the slippers, though I can't decide if it's better to leave the stiff paper inserts in or out when she wears them. In it feels more like leather bottom balet slippers, but out, it's easier to get on and looks better imho.
Last but not least, it comes with doll size bobby pins and scrunchies, with instructions on how to give her a french twist like bun. I haven't tried it, haven't even opened the package, because I'm scared of losing the bobby pins!
Over all, a great outfit, one of my faves as far as getting it on and off, and definitely a meomory inspiration.
HTH...
